Carter Lawn Services

About Carter Lawn Services

In October the Heritage Trail along the river fills with maple and hackberry leaves, and every yard in Lafayette gets its own version of the same drift. Carter Lawn Services handles that end of the year with leaf cleanup and fall tidying, and carries the rest of it with mowing, trimming and edging from the first green of April to the last cut before the ground goes hard. Grass here runs fast in May, slows in the heat, then wakes again with the cool nights, and the schedule follows the lawn rather than the calendar. A raked, cut, edged yard in late autumn light is a small, plain kind of beautiful. That is the point of the whole route.
