About WJB Services Inc.

Twelve miles north of La Porte, Lake Michigan makes weather of its own, and by late October the wind coming down off it carries a bite the prairie never manages on its own. WJB Services Inc. reads the calendar by that wind, stretching the season's last cuts later than most people expect, then clearing the leaves that pile against fences and foundations before the cold pins them there. Through spring and summer it is the steady round instead: mowing, string trimming, edging walks and drives, tidying until nothing is left behind but the pattern laid down in the grass. A yard put to bed properly in November comes back easier in April, and that difference shows. It is the long view, and it is how the work gets done here.
