About Central Indiana Junk Pros

Kokomo built its name on firsts — the first car, the first stoplight — and Central Indiana Junk Pros works the same grid of alleys and garage aprons that grew up around those old factory shifts near Union Street. Winter mornings here start before the plant changes shift at dawn, the crew threading narrow alley drives and back lots where there's barely room to turn a truck around. Wildcat Creek cuts a low, frost-white line through town on the coldest days, and the blocks nearest its banks tend to hold ice a little longer than the rest of the city. Backing a plow blade cleanly out of a tight alley without clipping a fence post, leaving a drive bare enough for a car to pull straight through, takes a certain touch that comes only from doing it block after block. By the time downtown's old brick storefronts open for the day, the alleys behind them are already scraped down to pavement.
