Acker's Lawn Care

About Acker's Lawn Care

By August the corn on the county roads west of Kendallville stands high enough to hide a pickup, and the heat sits low over everything. Acker's Lawn Care keeps mowing straight through it — the weekly cut, the string trimming around posts and mailboxes, the clippings blown off the drive. Out here the wind crosses open ground with nothing to slow it, so a yard kept tidy reads like a small act of order. Late-summer grass wants a taller cut and a sharp blade, and it repays both. Come evening, the lawns along the section-line roads lie level as a tabletop.
