About Tip Topp Lawns

Early on the north side, before the Monon Trail fills with bike bells, Broad Ripple smells like cut grass and canal water. Tip Topp Lawns keeps a weekly rhythm through those Indianapolis neighborhoods — mow, trim, edge, blow the walks — and the truck is gone before most porches have their coffee. The old lots there run narrow and long, hemmed by garages and alleys, so the line along a sidewalk has to be drawn by hand and drawn straight. Grass climbs fast in an Indiana June, after the thunderstorms come rolling in off the flat farmland to the west, and the answer is simply showing up on the day, every time. A lawn kept on schedule looks effortless, which is the entire idea.
