About Tactical Plow Services LLC

Pike Township's newer subdivisions curl into cul-de-sacs and loop streets that don't follow the old city grid at all, which means a winter storm here piles snow into corners a straight route would never reach. Tactical Plow Services LLC builds its routes block by block through those loops on the far northwest side, timing each pass so a plow truck never backtracks past a driveway it's already cleared. The subdivisions went in over the last couple of decades, and the streets are wide enough for two trucks to pass — useful when a storm dumps snow faster than one route can keep up with. Salt spreaders follow close behind the blade on every cul-de-sac, since a dead-end street holds ice longer than a through street with steady traffic. By the time the last loop is finished, the whole subdivision is cleared in the order the storm actually hit it, corner by corner.
