About K & K Excavating Inc

K & K Excavating runs dirt and gravel work most of the year on the farm ground around Haubstadt, and when the first real snow of the season closes in, the same skid steers and loaders turn to clearing it. Out here where Gibson County's fields run flat to the horizon and the wind has nothing to slow it down, drifts pile hardest against fence lines and barn doors, and this crew knows which farmsteads need the plow first. They work the rural routes between Haubstadt and Owensville long after the smaller trucks have gone home, pushing snow off long farm lanes and gravel drives a lighter outfit would skip. There's no dressing it up — it's heavy equipment doing patient, repetitive work, lane after lane, until the last farmstead on the list is clear. By the second morning after a storm, the ground here looks like it forgot it ever snowed.
