About Apple & Son’s Lawn Care Service LLC

Hartford City keeps its bearings by the courthouse on the square, and the streets running out from it fall away into corn in every direction. Apple & Son's Lawn Care Service LLC takes the early part of the day, when dew still beads on the boot leather and Big Lick Creek runs cool under the bridges. Mowing here is a matter of straight lines and full overlap — a yard cut in the morning that still reads as cut a week later. String trimming gets the fence corners and the mailbox posts nobody else bothers with, and edging leaves the walk with a border you could set a level against. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass of a morning: clippings blown back off the sidewalk, gate latched, truck rolling on to the next block. Blackford County lawns, cut like somebody lives there.
