About Lawrence Lawn & Landscape

Starke County is flat and sandy and enormously open — old Kankakee marsh ground turned farmland, with a sky over Hamlet that goes on until it runs out. At noon in July the heat stands still above it, and the only shade for a mile is whatever a yard has been given. Lawrence Lawn & Landscape mows in that light, following the square lines this country lays down on its own, and edges drives and walks until a lawn has a border as definite as a section road. Sand ground drains quick and browns quick, so mowing height and timing matter more here than people expect. Trim, edge, clear the clippings off the concrete, and the place reads sharp from the road — which, out where you can see a mile, is exactly the point.
