About Sawyer's Lawn Care LLC

Fountain City sits small and steady on US 27, where Wayne County's farmland runs flat to the horizon and a summer evening turns the corn rows gold before it ever reaches town. Sawyer's Lawn Care LLC works these yards — the ones a block off the highway, the ones within sight of the old Levi Coffin house, the ones where a porch swing faces a lawn that deserves to look kept. Mowing here is its own kind of tending: straight lines, clean edges along the walk, trimmings cleared so the grass shows green and even when the light comes low across it. In spring the crew rakes winter out of the fescue; in fall they gather the leaves the maples let down before the first hard frost off the fields. It is plain work done with care, in a town that has always understood the worth of that.
