Myers Landscaping & Excavating clears the long farm lanes and short town driveways alike, working against drifts that pile against grain bins and fence rows faster than the snow itself ever falls. The grain elevator still marks the middle of town the way it always has, visible from every cleared lane leading in, and the crew uses it as the point everything else lines up against. Gravel roads out past the edge of town take longer to open than the blacktop through the center, so those runs start first, before first light. By midmorning the lanes into town are open all the way to Main Street, the fields on either side still holding drifts the wind piled up overnight.
