About Woosley's Snow Removal, Inc.

After a real snow, Evansville holds its quiet a little longer than usual, from West Side streets to the lots ringing downtown to long driveways strung out toward the county line. Woosley's Snow Removal, Inc. works all of it, one continuous run through neighborhoods that each hold their own kind of ice. Older streets freeze differently than shaded yards, and open lots near the highway freeze differently again, so the crew adjusts the pass and the salt for whichever ground it's working that hour. By midmorning, the routes people actually drive each day are already open, whatever the sky did overnight already dealt with quietly. Most of the city never sees the work happen, only the bare pavement it leaves behind by the time anyone's out the door.
