About eHandy

On Evansville's near east side, streets fan out from the C.K. Newsome Center through blocks of modest brick homes set close together, the kind of neighborhood where one uncleared walk becomes everyone's problem by midday. eHandy works those blocks driveway by driveway, clearing the short drives and porch steps typical of the area rather than wide lots or long lanes. A quick freeze after a daytime thaw is the real hazard here, turning a walk that looked fine at noon into a slick one by evening, so the crew often makes an evening check on the coldest days. Salt goes down on steps and stoops as carefully as on the driveways themselves, since most falls happen at the door, not in the yard. By the time neighbors are back from work, the walk to their own front door is already handled.
