About Drake Lawn & Landscape LLC

Dillsboro sits in the kind of hill country that doesn't flatten out until you're well past the Whitewater lowlands, and a winter storm here behaves differently than it would on open ground, fog pooling in the hollows while the ridge roads above stay clear and wind-scoured. Drake Lawn & Landscape LLC works those winding lanes and driveways cut into the hillsides, where a plow route has to account for grade and curve as much as depth of snow. A drive that switches back up from a creek bottom to a ridge-top house can hold ice in the shaded curves long after the open stretches have thawed. Clearing that kind of lane, all the way to level ground at the top, takes a feel for the terrain that flat-country plowing never asks for. Once it's open, a hillside driveway in Dearborn County looks almost startling against the surrounding hollows, dark and dry and passable again.
