About Helms Lawn and Landscape Specialists, Inc.

In Delphi the water always finds its level — Deer Creek easing down its limestone bed to meet the Wabash, the old canal lying glass-still beside the towpath. Helms Lawn and Landscape Specialists likes a lawn to settle the same way: mown level, edged clean, at rest. Summer mornings the crew is out while the mist is still lifting off the creek bottoms, and by noon the yards along the hill streets are striped and squared. Fall brings the sycamore leaves down in drifts, and the rakes and blowers answer. It is simple work done with care, in a canal town that has always had a soft spot for things built straight and kept up.
