Walklee Lawn Care Services

About Walklee Lawn Care Services

Summer mornings in Decatur start low and gold, the light sliding off the St. Marys River and out across some of the flattest, most generous ground in Indiana. That is when Walklee Lawn Care Services likes to work — before the July heat settles in, while the dew still shows every pass of the mower. There is a particular satisfaction in this county-seat town of straight streets and deep porches: stripes laid true down a front yard, an edge cut clean where grass meets sidewalk, trimmings swept before the neighbors are up. Along the blocks near Riverside Park, a well-kept lawn reads like a small act of civic pride, and Walklee treats it that way. Mowing, trimming, feeding, clearing the season's leavings — the work is simple to name and worth doing exactly right. By the time the sun is fully up over Adams County, the yard says everything that needs saying.
