About Usman Lawns

Six in the morning is the hour to be out in summer, before the humidity thickens and the low ground gives up its mist. Usman Lawns starts there, moving through Crown Point while the air is still cool enough to work in — mowing, edging along the sidewalks, trimming close where the mower cannot reach, sweeping the walks clear. July grass can go from lush to stressed in one hot week, so the height gets raised to hold moisture and the cut stays clean rather than torn. Details like that are invisible in the moment and obvious by August. A yard that holds its color deep into the summer is worth the early start.
