About Roberts & Sons Lawn Care LLC

Late on a July evening in Crothersville, when the heat finally loosens and the freight rolls through on the rail line that has always split the town, the yards do their best showing — long shadows, green gone gold at the tips. Roberts & Sons Lawn Care LLC works toward that hour. Their trade is the keeping of grass: mowing on a steady rotation, trimming around mailbox posts and porch steps, cleaning up what the maples drop when October comes to this stretch of southern Indiana above the Muscatatuck. Down here a yard is not decoration; it is the front page of a house, read by every neighbor who drives past on the way out to the fields. So the lines get laid straight and the clippings get cleared, block after block. A finished lawn at dusk, crickets starting up in it — that is the whole argument, and it holds.
