About Lanes Lawn Care Services

South of town the ground opens back up into the fields where the Battle of Corydon was fought in one afternoon back in 1863, and that same open ground catches every bit of wind a winter storm brings, with nothing to slow it down between one fence line and the next. Lanes Lawn Care Services works that exposed stretch differently than the shaded in-town blocks — snow here doesn't melt slow under cover, it drifts fast and hard against anything standing still, so driveways get plowed with an eye on where the next gust is going to pile it right back. The historic site's walking paths and the small lot beside it get cleared for the handful of visitors who come even in the cold, farmhouses along the open roads get their lanes opened in full rather than a single narrow track, and fence-line drifts get pushed well clear of the driveway edge so one more gust doesn't undo the work. Open ground plays by different rules than a shaded street, and out here that's the whole job.
