About Abel's Lawn & Landscaping LLC

Corydon's old State Capitol still stands downtown, a squat limestone building that was the seat of Indiana government before Indianapolis existed, and every winter morning the light comes up slow behind the knobs east of town before it ever reaches that stone. Abel's Lawn & Landscaping works the square and the neighborhoods around it once the ground freezes: walkways near the historic block get cleared before the building opens to visitors, driveways on the hillside streets get plowed carefully since a grade that's steep in July gets genuinely dangerous under ice, and lots behind the old downtown storefronts get pushed back before the lunch crowd needs a place to park. Harrison County's hills hold onto shade in a way flatter ground doesn't, so a driveway on the north side of a knob can stay icy for days after the same storm melted off in town. Getting to those spots first, before the ice sets in for good, is most of the job.
