Roberts Park empties out fast once the first real snow hits, but it doesn't go unused — sledders show up on the hill by the ballfields before the plows are even finished with the lot below. TCB OUTDOORS keeps that lot and the walking paths around it clear through the winter, the same paths it mows and edges all summer, so the park stays a place people actually go instead of one they avoid until March. Trailheads and picnic-shelter approaches get shoveled by hand where a truck can't turn around, ice on the paved loop gets treated before the first dog-walkers arrive, and the ballfield parking gets pushed back in time for weekend tournaments that don't stop just because it's cold. Keeping a park open in January takes a different kind of attention than keeping it mowed in July, but it's the same gates TCB drives through with whatever equipment the month calls for.
