About Shonk Lawn Care LLC

October is honest in Cloverdale: the hardwoods around Cagles Mill Lake turn all at once, and every yard in Putnam County fills with leaves that were somebody's shade in June. Shonk Lawn Care LLC works that turning — cleanup rakes and mowers moving through the crossroads town while campers head down toward Lieber and the falls at Cataract. Spring and summer belong to the cut itself: broad lawns mowed even, ditches trimmed back, edges run clean along the gravel drives. Out here a kept yard stands out against the rolling corn ground the way the lake stands out against the hills. The work ends with a long look back down the rows, and the look is the point.
