Justin's Tree Service

About Justin's Tree Service

Chesterton sits just inland from Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes, and when cold winds cross the open water in winter they can drop bands of lake-effect snow on the town in a matter of hours. Justin's Tree Service turns out for those storms, clearing driveways and walks so Chesterton households can get moving again. Lake snow tends to fall light and deep, and it often keeps coming long after the forecast promised it would stop, so the work means staying with a storm until it is finished. Tree work is in the name, and the same steady hands bring care to the snow, clearing each drive right out to its edges. By first light the walk is shoveled clean, and the dunes beyond town lie white and silent under a pale sky.
