About Eclipse Landscaping

By the time the streetlamps come on in Carmel's Arts & Design District, the brick sidewalks in front of the galleries have usually gone from wet to glazed, and that's when Eclipse Landscaping starts its evening rounds. Snow here is a different problem than out in the subdivisions — narrow brick walks, tight parking behind converted storefronts, no room for a wide blade — so the work is careful and mostly by hand and small equipment, walk by walk. The district empties out early on a snowy night, gallery lights glowing over sidewalks nobody's walked on yet, and clearing them before morning means the first coffee-shop customer isn't the one testing the ice. Out past downtown, the crew runs the same care into residential driveways, treating each one on its own terms rather than a single pass down the block. There's a quiet reward in a stretch of brick sidewalk swept clean under lamp light while the rest of the district is still catching snow.
