About Wells Landscaping & Excavating LLC

The Franklin County courthouse anchors Brookville's square the way it always has, brick storefronts around it holding onto shade long enough that sidewalks there can stay slick well past a storm's end. Wells Landscaping & Excavating LLC runs equipment built for more than driveways — loaders that clear a business lot or a stretch of riverside street in one pass — down through the flat bottomland where the East and West Forks of the Whitewater River come together below town. Downtown's older buildings and the sloped lots near the river each need their own approach, so the crew treats a Main Street sidewalk different from a lawn out past Metamora Road. Getting the square passable again before shops open matters here, in a town small enough that everyone notices whose walk got cleared first. Seeing that brick sidewalk swept back to bare stone, snow still deep across the courthouse lawn behind it, is the sort of small-town marker of a job finished right.
