About IU Landscape Services

The blocks near Third Street and the edge of campus fill with students most of the year, and in winter those same sidewalks and driveways still need clearing whether classes are in session or not. IU Landscape Services works that stretch of town, plowing the short driveways and shared parking pads packed tight along streets built for a university crowd. Salt goes down on the walks that see the most foot traffic — the shortcuts worn between houses before the first snow even falls. It's fast, tight-quarters work: narrow lots and short drives instead of long rural stretches. By mid-morning, with students moving between houses and the bus stop, the sidewalks nearby are already clear enough to cross without watching every step.
