About Clark Landscaping

Lake Monroe spreads out south and east of town, its wooded coves and boat ramps mostly empty and iced quiet by January. Clark Landscaping works the neighborhoods scattered along the roads leading down toward the lake, driveways that wind through trees and hold shade most of the day, so the snow on them lingers longer than it does out in the open. The truck runs those roads early, clearing a path wide enough for a car to get out without sliding toward the ditch. Walks and steps get salted by hand, especially the ones shaded by pine that never quite dry out between storms. A lake road cleared before anyone else is awake has its own kind of stillness — just tire tracks curving off toward water nobody's using yet.
