Switchyard Park sits where Bloomington's old rail yard used to be, and the B-Line Trail runs along the same corridor trains once used to move stone out of the quarries. Aunt Bs Hauling Excavating and Trash works the neighborhoods that grew up along that corridor, plowing driveways and hauling cleared snow off lots too small to hold their own pile all winter. A tight urban lot fills up fast after two or three storms, and moving that snow out instead of just stacking it higher is half the job. Walks along the trail-side streets get shoveled and salted early, before the joggers and dog-walkers are out on what used to be rail bed. It's block-by-block work that keeps a stretch of the city moving the way the trains once did.
