Mow N' Snow

About Mow N' Snow

Along Emerson Avenue and the side streets branching off it, Mow N' Snow spends the winter months keeping Beech Grove's driveways and sidewalks passable from the first flake to the last freeze. Trucks run before daylight, blades down, clearing a straight path to the curb so the morning drive out toward the rail yards starts on bare pavement instead of packed snow. Steps get shoveled and walks get salted, and the narrow gap between a parked car and a garage door gets cleared by hand when the machine can't reach it. Block after block, the same careful pass repeats house to house until the whole route is done. When the last patch of ice finally lets go of a shaded north step, that's the day's work finished.
