Toms Lawn & Garden

About Toms Lawn & Garden

Behind a lot of Batesville houses there's a garden — tomatoes staked in July, zinnias along the fence, a compost pile in the corner — and Toms Lawn & Garden works both sides of that backyard line. The lawn gets its regular cut and trim; the beds get weeded, edged, and mulched so the flowers stand out instead of the crabgrass. It's close, kneeling-down work as much as riding-mower work, and the two together are what make a yard feel tended rather than just mowed. Southeastern Indiana soil is generous when it's looked after. By late summer, the yards on Toms's list look like the reason people garden in the first place.
