Cook's Tree And Crane

About Cook's Tree And Crane

Along Lake James, where the pines stand tall enough to shade a driveway even in January, Cook's Tree And Crane clears the narrow lanes down to the cabins and year-round homes that line the shore. Snow off the lake behaves differently than snow in town — it comes in off the open water with more wind behind it, banking hard against the first obstacle it meets, which is usually somebody's garage door. The crew knows which shoreline drives catch that wind and plans routes accordingly, working the exposed ones first before the day gets any colder. It's the same equipment that handles the big trees the rest of the year, put to work keeping the water's edge reachable once the lake itself has gone quiet and white. Cook's Tree And Crane serves Angola and the Lake James and Jimmerson Lake shoreline communities, along with nearby Fremont and Pleasant Lake.
