Hensley's Lawn care

About Hensley's Lawn care

Some sounds belong to a neighborhood: a screen door, a basketball on a driveway, and on Anderson's quiet blocks near Edgewater Park, a mower working its way down the street. Hensley's Lawn care is that mower. The work is deliberately simple — cut, trim, edge, clean up, come back when the grass says so — done at the scale of a single yard, then the next. Along the river the summer air is heavy and the grass grows thick, and there's a rightness in leaving each lawn even and finished before moving on. The rounds cover Anderson and its close neighbors, Edgewood and River Forest among them.
