About Hamby's Lawncare

Ambia sits so close to the Illinois line that the afternoon wind arrives having crossed two states of open field. Out here on the Benton County prairie the sky is the biggest thing in town, and a mowed yard is one of the few places the eye can rest on something tended by hand. Hamby's Lawncare keeps those yards cut and trimmed, working around mailbox posts, garden borders and the long lawns that run out to the road. Grass grows hard after a June rain, and the mower comes back to set it level again. When the job is done the lawn lies as flat as the farmland around it, a small square of order with nothing but horizon beyond.
