About Mattoni Landscaping & Brick Paving

Lake County clay does not forgive a shortcut — it swells, it freezes, and it lifts a walk a half inch every winter until the joints stop meeting. Mattoni Landscaping & Brick Paving builds against that: base compacted deep, pavers set tight, edges restrained so a patio still runs level after a Zion February. Around the stonework comes the green side — mowing, trimming, beds, mulch, cleanups — because a patio only looks as good as the lawn it sits in. April is the month it all lines up, grass coming back around brick that came through the thaw without a ripple. That is the kind of yard people sit in until the mosquitoes chase them indoors.
