Two seasons, one village. In January the wind crosses the open ground and packs a Winnebago driveway shut overnight; in July that same ground grows grass fast enough to need an answer every week. Just The Stump works both ends of the year — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks, salting where ice takes hold, then mowing, trimming and edging from the first green through the final cleanup. Being there for both means a property never has an unattended stretch: opened in winter, kept in summer. Winnebago is the center of it, with Pecatonica, Seward, Durand and Rockford around.
