MC TREE L.L.C.

About MC TREE L.L.C.

Winter announces itself in Whitmore with a change in the yard light — first the halo, then the slant of flakes crossing it. MC TREE L.L.C. is out before that halo fades, running plow routes down the long township lanes and then back through them when the storm keeps adding to itself. Walks get shoveled to the width of a shoulder; steps get scraped and treated so the mail carrier does not have to guess. The work is measured in the small relief of a car pulling out on time in a black-and-white morning. Whitmore and the surrounding country roads, from the first sticking snow to the last February squall.
