Z.Balderas Landscaping & Snow Removal

About Z.Balderas Landscaping & Snow Removal

There is a stretch in October when the low sun turns every lawn in Wheeling gold at five o'clock and the park district fields run long with shadow. Z.Balderas Landscaping & Snow Removal is finishing the mowing season about then — the last cut, the leaves pulled off before they mat, everything edged one final time. Six weeks later those same properties are under snow and those same trucks are back with plows and salt, cutting driveways open and walks clear while the town is still dark. A year on these streets goes mud, then green, then gold, then white, and back around again. Working through all of it, on the same blocks, is how a place gets learned by heart.
