Saturday morning on the west side of Marion has a sound to it: a screen door, a dog somewhere, and small engines starting up one street at a time. J&B Mower and Yard Care is part of that sound most of the year, moving block to block, cutting lawns to an even height and keeping the trimmer close along the foundations, mailboxes and fence posts. The edge along the sidewalk gets its own attention, because that thin line is what a neighbor's eye lands on first. Clippings get cleared off the walk and the drive instead of left to wash away. Through fall the same yards get raked out and carried clean, block by block, the way they were mowed.
