About Martin & Son Landscaping

West Chicago grew up around a railroad junction, and a piece of the old tallgrass prairie still stands at the edge of town, going gold by August. Martin & Son Landscaping mows the yards in between — grass cut every week it needs it, the trimmer run to the fence lines, walks and drives edged, beds cleared of what blows in. Summer thunderstorms roll off the flats to the west and put the grass ahead of schedule overnight, so the route flexes to catch up. A finished lawn on these blocks reads clean from the sidewalk: the cut even, the edges sharp, no clippings left on the concrete. In fall the leaf work runs until the yards are bare and the trains sound closer in the cold air.
