About Aparicio's Landscaping

Out at the Waukegan Savanna the oaks turn late, then let go all at once when the wind finally decides. In town that same wind fills the yards, and it is when Aparicio's Landscaping does some of its steadiest work. Fall cleanups, a last low cut, edges tightened before the ground goes hard — the whole calendar narrowing to one clear task. A raked lawn in November has a stillness to it that nothing else quite matches. Come spring the mowers come back out, and the grass remembers.
