About Blunier Builders, Inc.

Four in the morning on Washington Square, and the gazebo wears a fresh white cap while the brick storefronts sleep. Somewhere on the east side a truck is warming up, blade down, headlights combing the drift that the prairie wind laid across a driveway overnight. Blunier Builders, Inc. is a building company that answers Tazewell County winters with plows and salt — lots opened up, driveways scraped down to pavement, walks cut wide enough to carry a coffee across. There is a plain satisfaction in a lane cleared before the first car needs it, in that black stripe of asphalt where an hour ago there was only weather. Snow keeps coming off the open fields east of town, and the trucks keep going back out to meet it.
