The ravines below Warsaw run down toward the water full of hardwood shade, and the old lots up in town hold oaks older than most of the houses. Campbell & Sons Landscaping works under them — mowing around root flare and deep shade, trimming close to stone and foundation, edging walks back to their original line, and clearing the leaf fall when Hancock County lets go all at once. Shaded lawns are slower and touchier than open ones; they want a higher cut and a lighter hand. Coaxing one to fill in thick and even is genuinely satisfying work. Warsaw has good bones, and a well-kept yard shows them off.
