D&G Tree Service

About D&G Tree Service

Up on the Driftless ridges at Warren the glaciers never flattened anything, and the roads roll from one dairy farm to the next in long green waves. D&G Tree Service works that broken ground — removing hillside trees leaning toward a barn or a house, trimming crowns clear of the rooflines, pruning the sugar maples and walnuts that make an October drive along the ridge worth taking slowly. Weather crosses these hills without much warning, and one hard cell can block a farm lane and flatten a fence under green wood; then it is saws, tractor, chipper and hauling until the place functions again. Steep footing turns every removal into a puzzle, and solving it without leaving a mark on the pasture is the craft of it. A yard opened back up to the long view down the valley is a fine thing to look at on the way out the drive.
