About Franzen Construction Group, L.L.C.

Wind is the real weather in this part of Illinois. Out where Urbana's streets give out and the fields begin, a northwest blow will lift yesterday's snow and lay it back down in long drifts across a driveway that was open at supper. Franzen Construction Group, L.L.C., a construction company, meets that with plowing for drives and lots, clearing of walkways and entries, and salt on the packed spots where tires have polished the surface to glass. The job often has to be done twice — once for the storm, once for the wind — and both times the standard is a full clearing rather than a path through the middle. Dawn after a blow is a good moment, the fields blank all the way to the horizon and one lot in town already open for business.
