Martin's Tree Service

About Martin's Tree Service

The farm-edge horizon still shows at Troy even as the subdivisions spread west toward the interstate, and the trees tell that story plainly — shagbark hickories left in an old fence row, young maples in front of new porches. Martin's Tree Service takes on both kinds: structural pruning on the young ones so they grow into strength, trimming and thinning on the veterans, removal once a tree has become a hazard over a drive or a garage. Metro East storms arrive with the whole sky behind them, and the morning after goes to freeing fences, opening lanes and hauling out everything that came down in the night. There is a particular pleasure in a large removal that ends with the lawn intact and nothing to sweep off the street. When the light drops low over the ball fields at Tri-Township Park, a well-shaped tree line shows the town at its best.
