About ALS Outdoor Solutions

Winter arrives in Tonica sideways. Out on the LaSalle County flats there is nothing between an open section and a driveway but a fence line, so the snow does not so much fall as travel, packing itself into drifts across every east-west road by morning. ALS Outdoor Solutions works those early hours — plowing drives open, cutting back the ridge the county truck leaves at the end of them, shoveling walks down to the step, and putting salt where the ice sets up hard. The reward comes before sunrise: headlights on a clean apron, a car that gets out on time. When the wind swings around and fills it back in, the truck comes around again.
