Long's tree service

About Long's tree service

Taylorville's courthouse square anchors the town, and the shade trees around it and out through Manners Park set the standard for every yard in Christian County. Long's tree service works those streets — pruning the oaks and maples that arch over the sidewalks, trimming limbs away from porch roofs and power drops, removing what has hollowed at the base and begun to lean toward a house. April turns on a dime here, and when a cell drops branches across a driveway the cleanup is direct: cut, chip, haul, and rake until the lawn is clean. On the county blacktops the yards run bigger and the trees stand by themselves, taking the full push of prairie wind, which makes good pruning worth far more than it looks. A block of well-kept trees is about the quietest civic pride a town can show.
