About Del's Family Landscaping Corporation

The south branch of the Kishwaukee moves slow past Old Mill Park, and in September the whole town seems to let go of its leaves at once. Del's Family Landscaping Corporation meets that turn head-on — mowing right through the cool weeks, trimming, and hauling off what the maples drop before it mats down. Spring is the other end of it: the first cuts of the year and the clearing of everything winter left along the curb and in the beds. A yard that has been kept all season shows it in October, when the grass is still even and the borders still hold their shape. That is the whole point of the trips nobody sees.
