About HSHS Home Care Illinois

The hardest thirty feet of any Summit winter are the ones between a front door and the street. HSHS Home Care Illinois clears that ground after a storm — shoveling the steps and the walk, opening a path out to the car and the mailbox, plowing the driveway back to its full width, and salting the porch and those shaded sidewalk squares where a thin sheet keeps re-forming. On these blocks the walks run unbroken corner to corner, so one cleared stretch helps everybody who passes it. The work happens early and quietly, usually before anyone has looked outside. Then the door opens onto bare concrete, and the day is only a day.
