Not Just Grass Landscaping

About Not Just Grass Landscaping

Wind has nothing to slow it down on the west side of Sugar Grove — it comes off the open ground near the airfield and lays snow across Route 30 in long white ropes. Not Just Grass Landscaping works those nights: plowing driveways and parking lots, cutting a path through the drift that piles against a garage door, salting the slick that forms where wind has polished the pavement bare. Storms that look small on the radar can close a driveway twice before breakfast out here, so the route runs again, and again after that if it has to. The reward is small and specific — headlights swinging into a drive that's already open, at an hour when nobody expected it to be. By sunrise the ropes of snow have moved on across the fields, and the driveways they crossed are clear.
